Designing a kitchen is the most technical and complex room in the home to design. Not only does the designer need to understand the basic work triangle, but needs to also pay particular attention to the lifestyle and needs of the users while combining function with style.

The average cost of a kitchen remodel is between $15,000 and $20,000. (Note: High end, custom kitchens often run between $85,000 and 115,000.) Any way you look at it, it’s a major investment. When choosing to remodel their kitchen the average homeowner will seek out one or more quotes from area kitchen and bath shops. These shops usually offer free design services. In2itive Design can ease your mind and insure that you are getting the most functional design that your money can buy. Aside from 30 years in the interior design business, I have spent the past 9 years specializing in designing kitchens and baths after teaching kitchen & bath design at Villa Maria College for 3 years. Whether you choose to have me design your kitchen from scratch or review any design from any local cabinet dealer, you can rest assure that the final design will not only be beautiful, but will surely meet you and your family’s needs. After an intensive interview process, that includes a family survey, complete measurements of the entire space and photographs, I will create a design that addresses all of your functional and aesthetic needs. The consultation fee for this service (starting at $125) is a minimal investment considering the expense involved in the average kitchen.

In2itive Design can also handle your entire project, including supplying all of your materials for your project, as well as project management for demolition, expansions and additions, installation of cabinetry, tops, appliances, lighting, and fixtures. All for no more than it would cost to use a cabinet shop offering “free design service”.
